Kolkata Knight Riders (84/8)

Shubman Gill (1/6): Navdeep Saini to Shubman Gill, OUT! TAKEN! What is happening in the Kolkata camp here? Is there a party planned or what? Why are they falling like ninepins here? Length ball outside off, Gill looks to pull but he ends up getting a top edge. It goes high in the air towards short mid-wicket. Kohli had stationed Morris there, one of the safest fielders. Morris gets under the ball and takes it with ease.

Rahul Tripathi (1/5): Mohammed Siraj to Rahul Tripathi, OUT! CAUGHT! Edged and taken safely. Mohammed Siraj fetches the breakthrough for Bangalore. Fullish and outside off, hint of away movement as well. Tripathi looked to steer that towards third man but he ends up getting an outside edge which goes to the right of the keeper. De Villiers moves that side and takes it easily.

Nitish Rana (0/1): Mohammed Siraj to Nitish Rana, OUT! BOWLED! What a start this is for Bangalore. Mohammed Siraj is on a hat-trick now. Full and around off, again, a hint of movement, this time it comes in towards off. Rana looks to play at it but is all over it. Misses and the stumps are shattered. What a start for Kohli’s men. This is why Siraj was brought in for this game as well.

Tom Banton (10/8): Mohammed Siraj to Tom Banton, OUT! CAUGHT! One more for Bangalore, one more for Mohammed Siraj. He is on fire today. Full and outside off, again, a hint of away movement. Banton looks to drive but ends up inducing an outside edge. It goes just to the right of de Villiers at an easy catchable height. The keeper takes it with ease.

Dinesh Karthik (4/14): Yuzvendra Chahal to Dinesh Karthik, OUT! LBW! Good review this time from Kohli. Karthik’s poor run-of-form against legbreak bowlers, especially the wrong’ un continues. Floated around middle and leg, this one is the wrong’ un. Karthik prods forward and looks to block but misses to get hit on the pads. Chahal appeals for a LBW but the on-field umpire was not interested. He has a long chat with Kohli, the latter taking it right in the nick of time. Three reds on the Ball Tracker and Karthik is a goner. Fantastic stuff from Bangalore here.

Eoin Morgan (30/34): Washington Sundar to Eoin Morgan, OUT! TAKEN! Massive wicket this for Bangalore. Massive celebration in their dugout. Morgan goes after making 30 runs from 34 balls. Floated around off, he gets down and looks to slog sweep again. Gets it in the air again but this time straight down the throat of Mann at deep square leg.

Pat Cummins (4/17): Yuzvendra Chahal to Pat Cummins, OUT! CAUGHT! Another one bites the dust! Cummins’ struggle with the willow comes to an end. Chahal gets his second of the game and victim number 15 for the season. Chahal gives this one a good amount of air and bowls it slow on off. Cummins looks to go over long off but does not go for it whole heartedly. He just lifts it in the air and straight to long off. Paddikal there makes no mistake and takes a simple one.

Kuldeep Yadav (12/19): Chris Morris to Lockie Ferguson, OUT! RUN OUT! Kuldeep Yadav is run out and Kolkata fall a run short of what they wanted on the last ball of their innings. Full, around off, Ferguson hits it aerially towards long on. It lands on a bounce to the fielder there. Kolkata look for two, the throw comes in to the bowler’s end. Morris collects and whips the bails off. The umpires want to have a look at it. Replays catch Yadav short. Just the single there. KOLKATA HAVE BEEN RESTRICTED TO 84/8.

Lockie Ferguson* (19/16): Chris Morris to Lockie Ferguson, OUT!

Royal Challengers Bangalore (85/2)

Devdutt Padikkal (25/17): Lockie Ferguson to Gurkeerat Singh Mann, OUT! RUN OUT! There is the second wicket. He was looking good at 25 runs off 17 balls. Length ball on the body, Mann taps it towards square leg. Padikkal wants one and rushes in from the other end. Mann says no after taking a couple of steps. Padikkal though does not stop, keeps running. He literally gets to the other end and it is too late for him to turn back. Pat Cummins who collected the ball at square leg runs to the bowler’s end and effects the run out with ease.

Aaron Finch (16/21): Lockie Ferguson to Aaron Finch, OUT! CAUGHT! And Kolkata finally have a wicket. Finch was coming down earlier, this time stays in his crease but gets a soft outside edge. Good length ball around off, Finch looks to drive but it was a bit too close to do so. Ends up inducing a soft outside edge. It goes to Karthik to the keeper’s right. Easy catch though and Karthik is never going to miss those.

Gurkeerat Singh Mann* (21/26) and Virat Kohli* (18/17): Prasidh Krishna to Virat Kohli, A single and that is it! On a length outside off, Kohli guides it to the right of third man and takes an easy single. BANGALORE WIN EASILY BY 8 WICKETS!
