Royal Challengers Bangalore (145/6)

Devdutt Padikkal (22/21): Mitchell Santner to Devdutt Padikkal, OUT! CAUGHT! Faf du Plessis with another stunning effort near the ropes. Good work from Gaikwad too. A tossed up ball on middle, Padikkal skips down the track and looks to launch it over long on. He doesn’t time it as well as he would’ve liked but it is wide of the man at long on. However, du Plessis runs to his left really fast, settles under the ball, takes the catch but is pretty close to the ropes. He sees Gaikwad in front of him and then lobs the ball to him. Gaikwad lunges forward and takes the catch. The third umpire has been called for. The soft signal is out. Replays roll in and it shows that Faf has done well to catch and lob it to the other fielder, Gaikwad. Santner has a wicket to his name and Padikkal has to go.

Aaron Finch (15/11): Sam Curran to Aaron Finch, OUT! CAUGHT! Sam Curran gets the breakthrough for Chennai! Another failure for Aaron Finch. He gets off to starts but throws it away. Short ball around off, Finch dances down the track and then looks to cut it towards the off side but gets a top edge which goes towards cover. Ruturaj Gaikwad moves backwards and takes the catch. It was not easy but he manages to hold onto it.

Virat Kohli (50/43): Sam Curran to Virat Kohli, OUT! CAUGHT! What a catch from Faf du Plessis! He has been brilliant in the field again. Curran bowls a full ball on off, Kohli looks to go over long off but does not time it well and it goes wiide of long off. Du Plessis runs across, tumbles and takes a very good catch. Can Bangalore reach 150?

AB de Villiers (39/36): Deepak Chahar to AB de Villiers, OUT! CAUGHT! Faf du Plessis takes a simple catch. Slower ball does the trick. De Villiers fails to find the final flourish and he perishes. Good length ball on middle, de Villiers looks to heave it over the long on fielder but the bat turns in his hands. It is not timed so well and Faf du Plessis takes a simple catch.

Moeen Ali (1/2): Sam Curran to Moeen Ali, OUT! CAUGHT! Another one perishes! Bangalore are failing to find the final flourish. Good length ball on off, Ali dances down the track and looks to hammer it over long off but fails to time it as well as he would have liked. Mitchell Santner settles himself under it and takes a simple catch at long off.

Chris Morris (2/5): Deepak Chahar to Chris Morris, OUT! TIMBER! Brilliant yorker from Deepak Chahar! Chennai have done really well in the last few overs. Chahar digs a yorker on middle, Morris misses his swing and the ball goes onto hit the stumps. Terrific stuff from Deepak Chahar.

Gurkeerat Singh Mann* (2/2) and Washington Sundar* (5/2): Deepak Chahar to Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Full ball outside off, Gurkeerat drives it to cover and takes a single. BANGALORE END ON 145 FOR 6.

Chennai Super Kings (150/2)

Faf du Plessis (25/13): Chris Morris to Faf du Plessis, OUT! CAUGHT! Morris returns into the attack and gets his first wicket. Is that the breakthrough that Bangalore were looking for? Good length ball outside off, du Plessis looks to go over deep cover but it takes the bottom part of the bat and balloons towards extra cover. Siraj runs back and makes a tough catch look easy. 100 needed from 89 balls.

Ambati Rayudu (39/27): Yuzvendra Chahal to Ambati Rayudu, OUT! TIMBER! Once again we see a wicket fall after the break. Is there still a chance for Bangalore? Chahal tosses this one on off, Rayudu goes on his knees and then looks to sweep but misses. Chahal does not as the ball goes onto hit the off stump. Bangalore need to continue taking wickets. 33 needed in 39 balls.

Ruturaj Gaikwad* (65/51) and MS Dhoni* (19/21): Chris Morris to Ruturaj Gaikwad, SIX! What a way to finish the game! Short ball on middle, Gaikwad pulls it over the deep square leg region for a maximum. CHENNAI WIN BY 8 WICKETS.
