Zimbabwe (278/6)

Brian Chari (9/18): Mohammad Hasnain to Brian Chari, OUT! BOWLED! Brilliant bowling from Hasnain. You can’t be hanging on the back foot all the time. Hasnain bowls a yorker on the stumps, Chari does not have the time to think and react due to the pace on the ball. By the time he realises to bring his bat down, the ball already sneaks through him and clatters the stumps behind.

Chamu Chibhabha (0/3): Mohammad Hasnain to Chamu Chibhabha, OUT! CAUGHT! What a start from Hasnain and Pakistan. He strikes in his first over on his comeback. Brilliant delivery and Zimbabwe have lost an early wicket yet again. Back of a length ball on off, Chibhabha looks to defend but it takes the outside edge and goes towards Iftikhar Ahmed at second slip. He dives to his right and takes a good catch. Terrific start from Pakistan.

Craig Ervine (1/9): Mohammad Hasnain to Craig Ervine, OUT! Strangled down the leg side! Hasnain has the second one! Length ball down the leg side, Ervine goes for the flick but cannot get it off the meat of the bat. The ball takes the edge and goes behind to the keeper who does not miss out on that. Zimbabwe in all sorts of problems.

Brendan Taylor (56/68): Mohammad Hasnain to Brendan Taylor, OUT! CAUGHT! Taylor once again falls after playing a tough knock. Hasnain gets his 4th and the young seamer is no fire. Short of a  good length ball around off, Taylor tries to chip it in over the of fside but gets it off the toe-end of the bat towards covers. Khushdi Shah does well to take the catch.

Wesley Madhevere (33/31): Mohammad Hasnain to Wesley Madhevere, OUT! CAUGHT! What a catch from Hasnain! He has a 5-fer to his name now. An amazing bowling performance from him. Short ball on off, Madhevere looks to pull but gets a top edge which lobs to the side of the pitch on the leg side. Hasnain runs after it and dives to take a magnificent catch.

Sikandar Raza (45/36): Wahab Riaz to Sikandar Raza, OUT! TIMBER! Raza falls after playing a good knock. Full on middle, Raza makes room and then looks to heave it away to the leg side but misses and the ball goes onto hit the stumps.

Sean Williams* (118/135) and Donald Tiripano* (1/1): Wahab Riaz to Donald Tiripano, Full toss outside off, Tiripano slashes it to third man for a single. ZIMBABWE FINISH ON 278 FOR 6.

Pakistan (278/9)

Imam-ul-Haq (4/3): Blessing Muzarabani to Imam-ul-Haq, OUT! TIMBER! Zimbabwe strike in the first over and Imam walks back. What a comeback this is by Blessing as he was sent to the boundary ropes.  Just the start that Zimbabwe needed and Imam will be very disappointed with this. On a good length around middle and off, Imam strides forward and looks to have a poke at this but he misses this and this goes onto hit the stumps. Brilliant from Blessing.

Fakhar Zaman (2/2): Richard Ngarava to Fakhar Zaman, OUT! LBW! UMPIRE’S CALL! Zimbabwe are red hot right now and they have scalped another wicket. Disastrous start by the hosts. Losing two wickets in the first two overs. Zimbabwe have started off really well. On a good length around off, Zaman looks to work this to the leg side but misses and gets hit on the pads. The players appeal and the umpire obliges by raising his finger. Zaman goes for the review straightaway. Nothing on Ultra Edge. Ball Tracker comes in and the decision is umpire’s call. Zaman will have to walk back now. Top start by Zimbabwe and they will look to continue this.

Babar Azam (125/125): Blessing Muzarabani to Babar Azam, OUT! CAUGHT! Babar Azam departs! Is that the end of the game for Pakistan? A 5-fer for Muzarabani! Brilliant stuff. Look at the celebrations. They know that they are within distance of a victory. Short ball around off, Azam looks to cut but it takes the top edge and goes to the keeper. Taylor makes no mistake and starts celebrating. The umpire raises his finger and Azam has to go. What an innings from him but it comes to an end. Azam will be disappointed to not have taken his side home.

Haider Ali (13/9): Richard Ngarava to Haider Ali, OUT! LBW! THREE REDS! Another one bites the dust for Pakistan! What is going on with their batting? They just don’t seem to want to stay out in the middle. Zimbabwe are on top right now. On a good length around middle and leg, Ali looks to flick this one but misses and gets hit on the pads. The players appeal loudly and the umpire agrees by raising his finger. Ali talks to his skipper and decides to take the review. There is no spike as the ball passes the bat. Ball Tracker rolls in and there are three reds. Ali continues his walk back to the hut and takes a review along as well.

Mohammad Rizwan (10/26): Donald Tiripano to Mohammad Rizwan, OUT! TIMBER! DRAGGED ON! Right through the defense of Rizwan! Tiripano gets the ball to seam back in and that is gone through the gap. Pakistan would have needed Rizwan to stay out there and support Babar Azam but Rizwan is not able to do so and walks back now. On a good length around off, it nips back into the right-hander, Rizwan looks to block it out but it goes off an inside edge to shatter the stumps. Pakistan are in a spot of bother now.

Iftikhar Ahmed (18/21): Donald Tiripano to Iftikhar Ahmed, OUT! TIMBER! This is terrific bowling from Donald Tiripano. Iftikhar Ahmed cannot believe what has happened. How many times have we seen a wicket fall immediately after Drinks? Ahmed plays a loose shot and he perishes. Good length ball on off, angling in. Ahmed looks to drive without moving his feet at all. The ball sneaks in between his bat and pad and it goes onto hit the stumps. 191 required from 195 balls.

Khushdil Shah (33/48): Blessing Muzarabani to Khushdil Shah, OUT! CAUGHT! The plan to bring back the pacer has worked out for Zimbabwe as they break apart this partnership. Peach of a delivery to get rid of Khushdil and Zimbabwe will believe that they are back into this game. Brilliantly bowled. Muzarabani bowls this one on a length and gets it to move away from the left hander. Khushdil is tempted into the drive and goes for it but the ball kisses his outside edge and goes to the keeper who is not going to drop these. Just the breakthrough that Zimbabwe needed.

Wahab Riaz (52/56): Blessing Muzarabani to Wahab Riaz, OUT! CAUGHT! A wicket at the right time for Zimbabwe. They are right back into the game. A magnificent partnership comes to an end. Full on middle, Riaz looks to go ove long on but does not time it well. Williams runs across from long on and takes a good catch. 28 needed from 19 balls.

Shaheen Afridi (2/5): Blessing Muzarabani to Shaheen Afridi, OUT! CAUGHT! Sikandar Raza has redeemed himself with this great catch. Babar Azam will not be happy with the shot that Afridi has played. Full outside off, Afridi looks to hammer it out of the park but gets a top edge and goes towards cover. Raza runs forward from the deep and then dives forward to take a good catch. 13 from 7 needed for Pakistan.

Muhammad Musa* (9/3) and Mohammad Hasnain* (3/3): Earlier in the day, After opting the bat, Zimbabawe  started poorly once again and the pressure was right on them when the experienced duo of Taylor and Williams took upon themselves.
