MEXICO CITY. América beat Tigres UANL to win 2-1. All goals were scored in the first half.​ It was América to strike first with an early goal of J. Rodriguez at the 1′. Then it was a goal in the 9′ minute to make things even for 1-1. Eventually, I. Lichnovsky gave the win to América in the 45′ minute with an own goal.
