Sri Lanka team to visit India in 2020

The Cricket Board of India (BCCI) and the Sri Lanka Cricket Board have jointly announced today that the Sri Lankan team will travel to India in January next year and will play a series of 3 Twenty20 International matches.

In fact, according to the original program, Zimbabwe’s team was due to travel to India in January next year, but the Indian Cricket Board invited Sri Lanka to play a 3-match series after the ICC suspended Zimbabwe. Sri Lankan cricket accepted it.

According to the program, the first match will be played in Guwahati on January 5. The second match will be played on January 7 in Indore and the third and final match will be played on January 10 in Pune.

The ICC suspended its membership after the Zimbabwe Cricket Board confirmed it was unable to hold the association’s election in a free and democratic environment.

Thus, the Zimbabwe Cricket Board is no longer eligible for financial funding from the ICC. Zimbabwe has been banned from participating in ICC events.
